Introduced the Mario and Donkey Kong characters; #3 most popular game in the KLOV |
Donkey Kong is an arcade game created by Nintendo, released in 1981. The game introduced Nintendo's most important characters, Mario and Donkey Kong. In the game, Mario must rescue his girlfriend who has been kidnapped by Donkey Kong. In the game's four stages, Donkey Kong stands on a platform on a top and tries to prevent Mario from climbing up by throwing barrels and fireballs. When Mario reached the topmost platform, Donkey Kong leaves and goes to the next stage. After the fourth stage the game repeats, but with a higher difficulty level.
