MX (standing for Melbourne Express) is a newspaper that Melburnians and train commuters usually read on the train.

It was created by the Murdoch stable in 2000 in response to young people not reading newspapers.

Many of its articles are sent in by text messaging or e-mail.

It contains news, sport and weather. Some of its regular features include news from each Australian state, and "What in the World", also a column called "Important but Boring".

It contains many ads from Melbourne organisations, as well as a sizeable list of cultural activities that appeal to the 16-39 age group including films and art galleries.

Every day (Monday to Friday) it covers a Melbourne suburb from a property point of view.
