Jump to navigationJump to searchThe name Iceweasel was coined to refer to Mozilla Firefox during a spirited debate in early 2005. During this debate, the members of the Debian Project fiercely argued over whether or not the new Mozilla Foundation trademark rules made the packaging of Firefox problematic under the Debian Free Software Guidelines.
