T-Mobile
T-Mobile is a multi-national mobile phone company. It is a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom.
T-Mobile operates GSM networks in Germany, the United States, Great Britain, Austria, and The Netherlands. It has financial stakes in mobile operators in many other countries, including: Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Belorussia, Canada, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, The Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The company has 69 million subscribers, making it the world's 3rd largest mobile phone company, after China Mobile and Vodafone.
In the United States, T-Mobile was previously known as Voicestream (which in turn had acquired other cellular carriers including PowerTel). In the US market T-Mobile is the 6th largest carrier with 8 million customers. It is the only mobile phone company to operate under a single brand in both Europe and the United States.
T-Mobile's global spokesperson is the actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.
