Xbox 720 is the codename for the upcoming third video game console produced by Microsoft, and the successor to the Xbox 360. The console will be unveiled during the June 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo and will run on Windows 8.[1] It will be launched sometime in 2013.[1][2][3][4] Microsoft is rumored to be planning to make the first official announcements about Xbox 720 at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show.[4] The console also has the rumored names Xbox Next and Xbox Loop.[1][2]
Emma Williams, a general manager at Xbox, will be in charge of developing the new console.[3]
