AIMP (Artem Izmailov Media Player) is a freeware Audio player for Windows written by Russian developer Artem Izmailov and now developed by the AIMP development team.[1] AIMP was designed to be a lightweight and responsive audio player. AIMP had been based on the BASS audio library but since beta version 3.00 has its own audio engine.

Artem Izmailov released the first version of AIMP as the name of AIMP Classic on August 8, 2006.
