Facebook Bigamist case[edit | edit source]

Andrew Zashin gained national attention with his involvement in a case that became known as the “Facebook Bigamist”, France v. France (https://abcnews.go.com/US/alleged-facebook-bigamists-defense-marriage-legal/story?id=11306824). This was the first high profile case where a woman, Lynn France discovered that her husband, John, married another woman on the second wife’s, Amanda’s, Facebook page. It became an international scandal. Andrew Zashin appeared on many domestic and international media outlets with his client including the Today Show, CNN, Anderson Cooper as well as in print media.

International Family Law[edit | edit source]

Zashin developed an International practice group to augment the Family Law group’s familiarity with the subject matter it had gained over time. Most importantly, the firm tried the case known as Taglieri v. Monasky which will be the fourth case heard by the Supreme Court of the United States concerning the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Previously, this case was only the second Hague case to be heard en banc in history (by the entire panel of judges because of its exceptional public importance) by a US Court of Appeals)
