Urn is a Chicago based Gothic, Black metal band. Founded by Dominic St. Charles, Urn was originaly formed in 1994 as a Death Metal band. Due to a serious accident with one of the members in 1996, the band broke up. In 2000 Dominic reformed the group with a new line-up and a new style. In the fall of 2005, Urn signed with Rotting Corpse Records and released their full-length album, Dancing With The Demigods. Currently this album is being distributed through the major label, Century Media.

Urn appeared on the television program A&E Biography’s “The Secret Life of Vampires” in collaberation with Michelle Belanger, author of the Psychic Vampire Codex(Who also did guest vocals on two of their albums) and Don Henrie from the Sci-fi Channel's Mad Mad House. Both of these people made profound appearances in their music video "Shadow Dancer"
